For those folks who have lost a friend of their heart there is help and support for you. At http://www.petloss.com you will find a description of
the beautiful "Candle Ceremony" which takes place every Monday evening all over the world, at an arranged time, to honor and remember our "furchildren" who have crossed the RAINBOW BRIDGE.

Sometimes, grief comes unexpectedly

V eterinary students at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York
have established a hot line for people mourning the death of a DOG. This service is a part of their training. The hot line is available Tuesdays through Thursdays, 6-9 PM EST.  The number is 607-253-3932.  They also maintain a web site at http://www.vet.cornell.edu/public/petloss/
The students try to be empathetic and supportive, but please remember they are not yet Vets so they cannot offer any medical advice or opinions.
